Right now Japanese robotics has achieved things that we only dreamt about when I first conceived this story years ago. Hiroshi Ishiguro is the pioneer in making robots more and more humanlike. That was one of the things that drew me back to this story: it's no longer futuristic sci-fi, but rather something that could conceivably happen any time now!
Obviously I like that esthetic too, but I have to admit I'm not proficient at incorporating it into the art like a "real" mangaka. Maybe someday! I did study Japanese once upon a time and had to write in hiragana and katakana...

I like the Japanese onomatopoeia, even if I can't understand it's very aesthetic.
